Manna on Main Street was founded in 1981 and has grown to be a place where those seeking help and those willing to help have gathered to work together. Manna provides a soup kitchen and food cupboard, and a variety of other programs to help individuals in need. The mission of Manna on Main Street is to provide assistance to members of the community in obtaining the goods and services needed for daily living and basic human dignity.

Volunteers come to Manna each day to serve lunch and to distribute bags of food. Others come during the evenings and weekends. Manna helpers include church groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, business groups, school groups, families, civic organizations and caring individuals.

The volunteers who serve soup and sandwiches during the day, get to know our clients who visit on a regular basis. They share stories and get to learn about each other on a personal level.
