Relay for Life is a 24-hour walk-a-thon, in which members of our team continuously walk (teammates walk in scheduled shifts) around a track for the entire 24 hours of the event. This is an annual way that the American Cancer Society raises crucial donations and awareness in the fight against cancer.
Relay for Life is the keystone Penn State Montco Alumni community service event of the year. This year it is hosted by the American Cancer Society at Upper Merion High School in King of Prussia, PA on May 30th and 31st. The event begins at 1pm on May 30th and concludes at 1pm on May 31st.
Much like THON at Penn State, Relay for Life is a rewarding, refreshing, and resilient Community Service project that allows every willing person involved to show their support in the fight against cancer. Participation can range from donating money, to involving yourself in fund- raising events, to joining the Penn State MontCo/Chester County Alumni Chapter team. The event will include 24 hours of music, refreshments, friends, smiles, tears, and hope for the past, present, and future.
If you are interested in donating/raising money, or joining the PSU MontCo/Chester County relay team, please visit our official Relay for Life team website by clicking Here, or contact Doug at community@psumontco.com for more details. Thanks in advance to those of you who contribute your time, consideration, and/or cooperation towards this very meaningful event.
