Why have we accepted this challenge?  The need for scholarship has never been greater.  Last academic year, the unmet financial aid need for Penn State undergraduates was more than $100 million.  Our scholarship program helps the University to achieve its goal of ensuring that future Montgomery County students can afford Penn State, without incurring massive debt following their graduation.

PSU MontCo Scholarship Program Details:

The Penn State Montgomery County Alumni Chapter, through the support of local alumni and friends, has an endowed scholarship fund with Penn State University.  Your donations help our fund grow and thus allow us to provide larger/more scholarship awards, each year, to local deserving Penn State students. 

Scholarship Qualifications:
(1) Be a resident of Montgomery County, PA
(2) Be a Full-Time student of Penn State University
(3) Possess a Financial Need (as determined by the previous submission of a financial aid form to the Office of Student Aid)

Scholarship Applications are sent (via email and/or U.S. Postal Service mail) to the top students residing in Montgomery County, based on GPA.  A decision on the scholarship recipient(s) is made by June 30th of each year. Funds are awarded before/during the Fall semester for our winner(s).
